There are three types of juicers to choose from spanning over a hundred models from twenty plus juice extractor brands. With this many choices, it’s very difficult to make a smart buying decision. The good news is, I’ve been through it and after reviewing over 70 juicing machines I’m more than qualified to recommend which model would be perfect for your juicing habit.

What is the Best Juicer on the Market?
Let’s start off by addressing this question right away. Below is a quick rundown of the best juice extractor overall and by subcategory. It’s like the Oscar award for juicers.
Best Juicer Overall + Best Cold Press Juicer: Hurom HZ
Hurom is the undisputed juicer brand overall and in the cold press juicer category with the HZ Model bearing its flag. They innovated the world’s first slow juicer and won several design awards. You can consistently get the best tasting nutritious juice from a Hurom juice extractor, and you’ll get more than that with Hurom HZ. It can also be your very own healthy ice cream factory.
Best Value Juicer: Cuisinart CJE-1000
For a little over a hundred bucks, you’ll get a 5-speed juice extractor that can process a wide variety of produce. A Breville with the same capability can probably cost you more than twice that amount. Opting for the CJE-1000 can save you money that can later be spent on buying fruits and vegetables. It’s definitely a budget-friendly juicer that will get you started in no time.
The Best Masticating Juicer: Omega 8007 & 8008
Omega J8007S and J8008C have identical features, that’s why they both deserve the title. They are next in line to Omega’s ever-popular 8006 model. Omega’s horizontal masticating juice extractors are the best juicers for making green juices. Period. With these machines, you’ll get that efficiency plus a whole lot of other food processing functions.
The Best Centrifugal Juicer: Breville Juice Fountain Plus
Breville produces the best centrifugal juicer, there’s no question to that. However lately, I’ve seen them catching up on the slow juicer market. I’m not a big fan of high-speed juicers but I have to give credit where credit is due. If you’re looking for a fast juicing machine, among all Breville juice extractors, in terms of value proposition, Breville Juice Fountain Plus is your best bet.
The Best Twin Gear Juicer: Tribest Green Star Pro
A Twin Gear Juice Extractor is not your ordinary juicing machine. It’s simply the best in terms of juice extraction efficiency and as well as nutrient retention due to its underlying sophisticated technology. It’s the Tesla of juicing. If budget is not an issue and you have ample space for a piece of bulky equipment I would highly recommend Tribest Green Star Pro.
The Best Commercial Juicer: Champion 2000
If you’re planning to set up your very own juice bar or simply looking for a powerful machine, Champion 2000 got all the bases covered. It’s one of those brands which allows commercial use. If you’ve been to a juice bar though you may have seen them using a Breville. With that said, picking a commercial juicer is a little tricky, you can check my full guide here.

Top 10 Juicer Reviews
These juicer reviews will give you an in-depth perspective of each of the top ten products.
#1 Hurom HZ Slow Juicer
Hurom HZ is the Top Rated Juicer of 2018, and at the same time, it also holds three more awards; The Best Cold Press Juicer, The Best Vertical Masticating Juicer, and The Best Personal Juicer. Here’s why…
Vertical slow juicers are compact versatile machines and Hurom HZ clearly won the design department. It’s both elegant and functional. While it doesn’t take much of your counter space just like traditional masticating juice presses, it delivers the same level of nutrient retention and juice extraction efficiency. It can process all types of produce be it soft or citrus fruits, hard produce, or leafy greens; not to mention that it’s a great wheatgrass juicer. In short, it’s not just beautiful but also a capable beast.
The best thing I like about vertical masticating juicers is their ability to premix juice inside the juicing chamber. Say you just need a glass of juice, all you have to do is close the tap and start putting your produce down the chute. Once you hit the right volume, you can catch the juice right into your glass. Newer models like Hurom HZ can store up to 500 ml (16.9 oz), that makes two servings of nutritious juice.
Now if you want to juice in bulk, all you need to do is keep the tap open and juice to your heart’s content.
It’s not your average slow juicer though, you may find it a little expensive. At a premium, you’ll be getting these extra accessories―citrus press attachment, tofu press, ice cream strainer. Who wouldn’t want to enjoy a healthy frozen treat?
There you have it, Hurom HZ―a tofu machine, a citrus press, an ice cream maker and most of the time just a plain reliable personal juicer.
#2 Omega J8006 Nutrition Center
For years Omega J8006 Nutrition Center has been a consistent best seller in the horizontal masticating juicer class. Despite newer and better models released by the brand, J8006 remained a top performer mainly because of its lower price point.
It’s an efficient beast that can take any leafy greens, hard produce and soft fruits. At a speed of 75-85 RPM, it slowly crushes and squeezes fruits and veggies with minimal oxidation. This achieves healthier juice that can be stored for up to 72 hours in a tightly sealed container.
With proper attachments, it can also be used to make butter, baby food, pasta, grind spices or coffee beans. If you get bored with juicing, this machine can offer you a whole lot more. It’s an efficient juice extractor and at the same time an all-around kitchen equipment.
#3 Cuisinart CJE-1000
For those who are looking for the best value juicer, Cuisinart CJE 1000 can be your perfect match. It only costs a few bucks over $100 but it’s packed with features that make it a $250 machine.
This juicer is a multi-speed 1000-watt juice extractor that can handle soft and hard produce very well. It has a 5-speed dial with blue LED light ring allowing you to control your juicing speed with precision. You can use the lower speed option for softer fruits and vegetables and adjust to a higher speed for extremely hard produce like carrots, beets, and celery.
The closest Breville model with five-speed setting costs 35 percent higher. Considering its performance versus the price along with its other features such as dishwasher safe parts and being BPA free, not to mention that it’s backed by a 3-year warranty, this professional high-speed juice extractor is truly the best bang for your buck.
#4 Omega NC800HD Nutrition System
NC800HD Nutrition Center sets the bar a little higher for Omega’s lineup of horizontal masticating juicers. It comes with a larger chute to accommodate more produce making the whole juice extraction process less of a chore. The adjustable end cap comes in handy at times when you need extra pressure to squeeze every drop of juice from leafy greens or if you need some slack for softer fruits and vegetables. Using an appropriate setting for a given type of produce will yield you more juice. The best part is it comes with a 15-year warranty.
Everything about this machine is just bigger and better. It comes with a bigger juice collector and tougher juicing screen, and literally, it’s huge and you might want to check your kitchen if you have enough space for this baby. If you do, then Omega NC800HD is a good choice. It can process all types of produce such as citrus and soft fruits, hard vegetables, leafy greens and as well as wheatgrass.
All Omega juicers are multi-functional, if you feel like making a healthy homemade pasta go grab your blank cone, blank end cap and any of your four pasta extruders to satisfy your cravings. If you happen to have a young child at home, you may put your homogenizing screen to good use by making baby food with it. Aside from that, you can also use it as a food processor, grinder, and make healthy frozen treats with it.
You won’t go wrong with the NC800HD series. It’s not only a juicer but also a multi-functional kitchen equipment when the situation calls for it. However, it’s a little bit pricier than an entry-level horizontal masticating juicer. You might want to check your budget first.
#5 Omega J8007S & J8008C Nutrition System
Omega J8007S & J8008C makes up the new J8000 lineup. The supposed successor to Omega’s ever-popular J8006. Until now they are still selling the classic J8006 but they started rebranding J8007S and J8008C to J8006HDS and J8006HDC. I hope you’re still following. Of all the juicer brands out there Omega’s lineup is the most confusing.
Don’t get me wrong though, I love their products. They just make it hard for consumers to know the difference between their products. Just recently I noticed their site redesign. I have to give them a shout out for making it look fresh and modern, and more user-friendly. It totally reflects their brand and you can now compare any of their products side by side.
Going back to the J8000 Series. Omega J8007S & J8008C are identical machines except for their finish. J8007S is silver where S stands for silver, and J8008C is chrome and obviously, C stands for chrome. These are the third generation of Omega’s 8000 series which are consistent bestsellers in Amazon under the masticating juicer category.
The newer models offer 25% larger funnels, larger and stronger screen housing with dual stainless steel inserts. It’s clearly more durable and versatile than the previous models.
Horizontal masticating juicers are extremely efficient. They are the perfect machine for making green juices and an all-around machine for any type of produce. Not only does it help you juice but it can also serve other functions in your kitchen. It can mince, grind, homogenize, make noodles, etc. Who needs a food processor when you have a juicer like this?
#6 Tribest Green Star Pro
Triturating juicers provide a whole new level of juice extraction experience. It’s the most effective and the most efficient among all types of juicers.
Its newly designed twin gear is now 100% stainless steel with more cutting points, and recess has been incorporated to reduce strain in the motor. This makes it more durable and that is the very reason why the manufacturer raised the warranty to 15 years for household use.
If you’re curious, the bioceramic technology was grandfathered in the core of the augers. The twin gear has built-in magnets which enhances the paramagnetic properties of alkaline minerals such as potassium, calcium, and magnesium in your juice reducing the rate of oxidation even further.
Sounds very complex but to put it simply, the combination of low RPM and magnetism maximizes the nutritional value of your juice to an unparalleled degree. That is the ultimate selling point of Green Star juicers.
Not only does it help you juice at home but it’s also a good machine for your juice bar. It’s the only twin gear juicer with commercial certification. Household juicers can’t be used for business but this particular one is an exception. It’s warrantied for 3 years in a commercial application.
#7 Breville Juice Fountain Plus
In the centrifugal juicer arena, Breville juicers are next to none. Juice Fountain Plus is the second cheapest machine you can get in their line of fast juicing machines. It gained popularity when Joe Cross’ Fat Sick and Nearly Dead documentary went viral. That’s also the peak of the juice craze. The popularity of juicing has died down but juicing will stay with us for all the good reasons.
Why does Breville’s cheapest machine didn’t make it through the top 10 best juicers? First of all Breville Juice Fountain Compact is difficult to use, it doesn’t have a pulp ejection system. The pulp is collected within the juicing chamber using a filter bag. You’ll have to stop every time it gets full. Second, it only has one-speed setting limiting your produce consumption to just citrus and hard fruits and vegetables.
With the Juice Fountain Plus you’ll have two-speed settings. You can go slower for softer produce and faster for hard ones. You don’t need to worry about your pulp, it comes with a huge pulp bin that can keep up to any amount of produce you are juicing.
Centrifugal juicers are fast, in fact, they are also called high-speed juicers. It will take just a few seconds to make a delicious and nutritious glass of juice. If you’re a busy person you might want to consider investing in a juice extractor like Breville Juice Fountain Plus.
#8 Omega VSJ843Q Series
I know, this is the fourth Omega Juicer in this list. To come up with this ranking, juicers have been assigned points based on their usability, efficiency, juice quality, and value for the money. Omega juicers ticked all the boxes and passed with flying colors. Maybe my method of rating juicers should be reevaluated for 2019, but for now, I give you the VSJ843Q Series.
The brand is known for producing horizontal masticating juicers and that’s what they are good at. Trying to compete with Hurom by launching the VSJ843Q Series put them in a tight spot. Just take a good look at Hurom HZ, it’s a well-designed piece of machinery, the product of Hurom’s innovation since it released the first vertical slow juicer in 2005. Setting aesthetics aside, I think Omega can still win in this division by lowering their price point, which lucky for you, they did.
If you’re looking for a vertical slow juicer that’s cheaper, Omega VSJ843QR (red) or VSJ843QS (silver) would fit the bill.
Vertical slow juicers are the slowest juice extractors at 43 RPM, but here’s why I love them. It’s compact, quiet, can take a wide variety of produce, and it also excels in juice extraction efficiency and juice quality. It’s definitely a great personal dependable home juicer.
One notable feature of this machine is its non-drip juice tap. You can mix juices and nut-milks before letting it flow out of the juicing chamber.
#9 The Super Angel Juicer
When I started to rank juicers, Super Angel was on top of the game. It’s the only juice maker that is truly BPA free, its whole body is made of surgical grade stainless steel including its pair of augers. There is virtually no risk of contamination brought about by plastic parts be it BPA or any other chemical compound. Some call it the Rolls Royce of juicing and I couldn’t agree more.
The huge barrier to this great product though is its price tag. To most buyers price is the biggest deciding factor, not all can drop more than a thousand bucks for an electric juicer. If your pocket is deep enough, you can put Super Angel Juicer under your radar, and if you are ready to make the purchase, here’s what you need to know.
Super Angel Juicer comes in four variants–Super Angel Plus, Super Angel Pro, Super Angel Deluxe and Super Angel Premium Deluxe.
Super Angel Plus
Super Angel Plus is the most conservative and the cheapest of the four options. It’s the original Super Angel 5500 which the manufacturer rebranded to Super Angel Plus. It’s highly similar to the pro version built with food grade stainless steel (304) but the manual reverse button. Though efficient, its super tight gears are prone to getting jammed, and that’s when the reverse switch can come in handy. You don’t have to worry about this in the newer models, as they have a built-in automatic anti-jamming system. No soft fruit attachment is included in this model.
Super Angel Pro
The body, extracting housing, and the two gears are made of high-quality food-grade stainless steel (304). It doesn’t come with a complimentary soft fruit attachment, but you can always get it as an upgrade in the future. By the way in terms of pricing, this is $140 more compared to the base model.
Super Angel Deluxe
This mid-priced variant is identical to the Plus and Pro in terms of metal construction but it ships with the soft fruit attachment. This will give you more freedom on the types of produce you can process. Without this, it’s impossible to juice soft fruits like grapes, strawberries, and citrus fruits. Expect to spend another $200 in comparison to the Pro variant for this added convenience.
Super Angel Premium Deluxe
Though this model is the most expensive among the four options, the soft fruit attachment is also not included. Then what makes it so expensive? It appears that not all metals are created equal, the first three models are made of food-grade material but this one was constructed with surgical grade stainless steel (316) which is corrosion resistant. Since it’s not prone to mineral build up, it is easier to clean. You’ll have to shell out $160 (price adjustment based on the deluxe model) if you want this variant.
If you pick the Premium Deluxe you’ll probably need to spend more on its accessories. You’ll surely be needing the soft fruit attachment and the blank screen for grinding beans and nuts.
Twin gear juicers are the most efficient juice extractors. It’s also unrivaled when it comes to juice quality. What sets Super Angel Juicer apart from its competitors is…it’s the only stainless steel juicing machine with no plastic components at all. That means you’ll get to enjoy a delicious and nutritious juice void of any toxins found in plastic.
#10 Champion Classic 2000 Commercial Juicer
And the last but not the least, drum roll, please… Champion Classic Classic 2000 Commercial Juicer, a powerful heavy duty juice extractor packed with surprising features. It’s the fastest in its class. To give you a point of reference the fastest centrifugal juicer can reach 15,000 RPM while a vertical slow juicer spins at only 43 RPM. Champion Classic 2000, on the other hand, has a 1/3 HP AC motor that can accelerate up to 1,725 RPM.
You can juice with it a whole lot faster but it comes with a huge trade-off, oxidation. Since it spins 21 times as much as a standard slow juicer, it sucks air to a higher degree breaking down oxygen sensitive nutrients in your juice. The quality of the juice will suffer badly if you don’t drink it right away. I doubt you’ll get the same 72-hour shelf life with this particular masticating juicer.
It’s a pretty unconventional masticating juice extractor but it makes sense with its unique feature. There’s a reason for its tremendous speed, it’s also a grain mill. Yes, you heard it right, it can be your very own flour making machine. With the aid of an optional grain mill attachment, it can grind soy, coffee beans, peppercorns, wheat, rye, oats, and barley.
Since it belongs to the masticating juicer family, it can process a wide variety of produce such as hard fruits and vegetables, soft and citrus fruits. It really excels at juicing leafy greens but you’re planning to juice wheatgrass, you’ll need to drop $78 for the greens accessory.
Champion 2000 is a versatile machine, not only does it help you juice a vast array of fruits and vegetables but it can also help you prepare baby food, nut butter, and sorbets with the complimentary blank attachment.
If you’re looking for a juicer and a grinder at the same time, I would highly recommend Champion Classic 2000 Commercial Juicer. It was built for serious juicers who intend to use it on a daily basis and for those who are planning to use it in a commercial application.
There you have it, the top ten best juicers of 2020.
Over To You
Now that you know which are quality juicing machines, hopefully, you already have a rough idea on which model to pick. You can go for a vertical masticating juicer which takes less counter space, or a horizontal design with better efficiency, or a centrifugal type if you want your juice right away, or maybe a triturating one if you want to take efficiency and nutrient retention to the extreme.
