The Hurom HO Slow Juicer is a compact, sleekly designed vertical masticating juicer that is available in white. It weighs only 13.6 pounds and will fit under your kitchen cabinets. The twin-winged Ultem auger rotates slowly at 43 RPM, using Hurom’s patented Slow Squeezing Technology to optimally extract the highest levels of enzymes, phytonutrients, and vitamins from a variety of leafy greens, fruits, and vegetables. It’s BPA-free and comes with a stainless steel Ultem juicing screen. Ultem is eight times stronger than other plastics and is being used in many electric juicers because of its sturdiness.
Hurom HO Upright Slow Juicer is equipped with a silicone juice cap that is easily closed for the purposes of mixing juices or pre-rinsing in preparation to clean it. The pulp control lever gives you maximum control over the amount of pulp in your juice. It is extremely quiet, plus it only uses 150 watts and 120 volts of power. You can carry on a conversation while you operate it. The inner spinning brush contains silicone wiper blades that wipe the pulp from the mesh juicing screen as it automatically spins around during operation. You don’t have to worry about clogging on the screen because the spinning brush clears it away. If you like to juice an assortment of soft and hard produce, then you will be pleased to know that a fine and coarse mesh juicing screen is included in the package.

Hurom HO Features & Product Details
Is it Easy to Use?
This juicing machine must be lined up and assembled correctly to operate. If the unit is not assembled properly, then the duplicate safety sensors prevent it from turning on. It only takes a couple of times to catch on and then it’s a snap. The convenience of having two different types of strainers gives you more versatility in the foods you juice or make with it. The coarse strainer is perfect for soft fruits. Use the fine strainer for harder vegetables and leafy greens. Cut all of your denser and fibrous vegetables into smaller pieces to make it easier for your juicer to press and separate the pulp from the juice. Simply drop the produce into the hopper.
There is no need to jam anything into the machine because it is self-feeding and will suck the items down into the auger blades. If you allow it to work at its own pace, then you have less chance of it jamming. If it jams, turn it off and reverse it to help the ingredients back up the chamber. After it is unjammed, turn it off again, and back on to get it going in the right direction again. If this happens, turn it off. Once it stops operating, reverse the direction of the auger. Close the cap to easily mix up your juice or to keep it from dripping on the counter
Is it Easy to Clean?
The HO Hurom Juicer parts are not dishwasher safe because most dishwashers tend to damage plastics. Close the juice cap, fill it with water, and flip the Auto-Pulp lever from “Close” to the half-closed position. Let it run for a couple of minutes. Then, switch it to the “Open” position and place the opening over the sink, then allow water to rinse through the juice maker components. Place the components in hot, soapy water, and wash everything by hand.
Scrub the mesh screen and other parts of the juicer with the provided cleaning brushes to remove pulp and other sediments from your juicer parts. Rinse and place everything on the convenient drying rack. Before reassembling, make sure the parts are completely dry. If you find that you are short on time, rinse the juicer parts, and clean the mesh screen. Set them to the side to be cleaned later. If you find pulp has dried on any parts, allow them to soak in hot, soapy water for about 10 minutes to loosen up the pulp.
Juice Quality
This juice extractor utilizes a mortar and pestle action of extracting juice. The auger rotates slowly at 43 RPM, cold pressing and masticating fruits and vegetables to produce juice that has been exposed to less heat and aeration. Not only does the juice taste better, but it contains up to 60% more nutrients that are absorbed up to four times better than when you consume them whole.
This cold press juicer produces a higher amount of juice, while also delivering optimal levels of antioxidants and vitamins. The pulp control lever allows you to moderate the level of pulp you allow in your juice. Allow as much or as little as you like! There is a provided sieve if you find the quality of the juice is significantly better without the pulp. Juice a large quantity and store it in the refrigerator within a glass container for up to 72 hours. Make sure to fill the container all the way to the top to push out most of the air. Cover with a tight lid. You can use a stainless steel or plastic container, but a glass is the better option.

Verdict
Hurom HO Slow Juicer extracts a high yield while maintaining the integrity of the juice. The twin-winged auger, in conjunction with Hurom’s SST utilizes gravity to slowly crush and press juice through a mesh juicing screen. This method of cold pressing removes nutrients and enzymes safely. It is versatile and capable of creating sorbets, smoothies, and baby food. Juice all types of produce, even leafy greens, and wheatgrass.
Some customers have problems with juicing wheatgrass. If you ever have any issues juicing greens or wheatgrass, then try alternating them with denser vegetables. Harder items will help move them through the drum with ease. A triturating or horizontal juicer juices leafy greens and wheatgrass much easier and might be a better option if you prefer to juice these alone. With a great warranty of 10 years on the motor and two-year warranty on the parts, the Hurom HO Series is an excellent investment for the future of your health.
