Omega VRT330 Vertical Slow Juicer is Omega’s first generation vertical masticating juicer. It comes in two color variants, white and silver. It’s worth mentioning that this is a non-HD juicer, the juicing screen is not made of heavy duty Ultem material. Breakage of the juicing screen was the main complaint about this model. To address this issue Omega released an HD version with a more durable Ultem screen, which is the Omega VRT350HD.
This juice extractor utilizes a single-phase induction and its two-step filtering process to extract the maximum juice yield. Even though it has a one-fifth condensed motor and uses 150 watts with 120 volts of power, it operates quietly—unlike extremely loud centrifugal juicers. Because of its upright design, it doesn’t need as much space as a horizontal masticating juicer. Plus, the pearl-white finish will look attractive on any kitchen counter. It weighs 22 pounds but has no handle. You are going to want to find a more permanent space for this cold press juicer, as it may be a challenge to pick up and move around.
It crushes your produce at slow RPM to safely extract the enzymes, vitamins and antioxidants prior to ejecting the pulp out of the machine. The parts touching your food are BPA-free, removing the concern of toxins leaching into your juice. It juices leafy greens and wheatgrass really well. Another feature that helps the electric juicer operate effectively is the Automatic Wiping System using silicone-wiping blades to wipe away the pulp to avoid buildup on the mesh screen thus allowing you to continue juicing without needing to stop and clean the screen.

Here’s a tip if you see an HD in the product model like VRT330HD and if the juicing screen is amber (not like in the picture at the right side of the pros section), I can assure you that it has an upgraded Ultem juicing screen.
- This cold press juicer is quite expensive
- Prone to getting clogged, so you’ll have to cut your produce into small pieces

- Not as efficient for processing wheatgrass, just get the one of Omega’s 8000 series if your juicing routine consist of mainly wheatgrass
Omega VRT330 Features & Product Details
Is it Easy to Use?
Omega VERT VRT330 is extremely easy to assemble and operate. The feed chute is 2.25 inches by 1.5 inches and is a crescent shape. However, you will need to slice everything into pieces shorter than two inches. Items such as celery need to be cut into pieces, about an eighth of an inch in size. Leafy greens and celery pass through the machine with ease, as long as they are not enormous pieces. Also, make sure to alternate softer pieces with dense items, otherwise they might get caught up in the juice maker machine.
When juicing, make sure to keep an eye on the pulp ejection spout. As long as pulp is coming out of the spout, then the juicer is still productively juicing. When you juice, simply drop the item into the feed chute. There is no need to push on it because the juicer has been designed with a self-feeding feature. If needs a little assistance, place a small amount of pressure on it with the plunger or pusher. If it becomes clogged, use the reverse function to back everything up, and try to move it forward again. Moving slowly at a steady pace, keeping up with the machine as you allow it to work, presents the best results and prevents jamming.
Is it Easy to Clean?
It is important to note that the parts of this juicing machine are not dishwasher safe. With the juicer turned on, pour water into the feed chute to rinse it free of any leftover particles. Take the Omega VRT 330 Juicer apart and submerge the parts in warm, soapy water. It is really easy to clean everything by hand, taking only a few minutes to complete this task. Use the cleaning brush to scrub the remaining pulp out of the juicing mesh screen. This is the part that actually takes the longest because of the tiny mesh holes.
If you clean it immediately after juicing then it really does not take long. If you do not have time to wash them in the morning, rinse everything, and set them aside until later. Waiting to wash the juicing screen will result in hardened pulp buildup, which is difficult to remove. If you don’t have time to wash it either, simply soak it in water for about 10 minutes to soften up the pulp before attempting to clean it. However, it is highly recommended to wash the parts right after juicing.
This slow juicer produces juice using the dual mastication method. The produce is slowly crushed to prevent generating heat and destroying essential nutrients, and then the pulp is pressed against the juicing screen to squeeze out the juice. The slow speed also prevents high levels of oxidation, which breaks down the quality of the juice. Using this method extracts the maximum amount of nutrients. If you feel the pulp level is too high, use a sieve to strain it prior to drinking. Enjoy your juice on the go or place it in a container with a tight lid. The shelf life of juice extracted with this juicer is approximately 72 hours in the refrigerator.
What Kinds of Produce Can Omega VERT VRT330 Juice?
All types of produce can be processed by this juice press—soft & hard produce, leafy greens, citrus fruits, and nuts and beans.
Hard produce includes cilantro, broccoli, apple, pineapple, yakon, cauliflower, pumpkin, garlic, ginger, pepper, celery, coconut, asparagus, sweet potato, fennel, bitter gourd, cucumber, turmeric, pear, beets, carrots and watermelon.
You can turn soft fruits such as grapes, blackberry, cranberries, strawberry, melon, pomegranate, kiwifruit, tomato, mango, peach, avocado and papaya into a puree using this machine.
Leafy greens include cabbage, beet greens, basil, moringa, parsley, romaine lettuce, lettuce, spring onion, brussels sprout, collard greens, kale, peppermint, dandelion greens, wheatgrass, pine tree needles and spinach.
Though this machine can process leafy greens, an 80 RPM vertical masticating juicer is not ideal for juicing wheatgrass and green leafy vegetables on its own. It should be done along with other produce to aid in juice extraction. Don’t get me wrong here, it still outperforms centrifugal juicers but it’s just not as efficient as horizontal masticating juicers. Newer vertical masticating juicers running half that speed (43 RPM) can now process leafy greens and wheatgrass at a more efficient rate.
Citrus fruits include lemon, grapefruit, tangerine, lime, orange and mandarin.
It can also help you make soy and almond milk to add variety to your juicing routine.

Compact design and versatility are the main selling points of Omega VRT330 Vertical Slow Juicer. It may be small but it can handle all types of produce better than centrifugal juicers. At low RPM, it prevents oxidation making sure that your juice is full of nutrients, minerals, vitamins and all the necessary enzymes needed by your body.
The only caveat to this product is it’s not dishwasher safe. Plus, the vertical design limits its ability to juice leafy greens in comparison to horizontal masticating juicers. However, if you’re juicing routine doesn’t mainly include wheatgrass, then this could be your next juicer. Just make sure you’re choosing the HD version of this product (with amber juicing screen) which I mentioned above.
